Thanks for your help with our 40 year class reunion! Looking forward to seeing everyone on July 13-14, 2012! Please take time to post some news about yourself as this blog is taking the place of a printed Reunion Memory book.

Joan p.s.
Reading the list of those who have passed, I was surprised to see Cathy Anderson's name. Anybody know what happened to her?

I am very bummed to report that I will not be able to make the reunion. My eldest is taking chemistry in summer school along with drivers' ed, and I can't just leave the kids and galavant off to South Dakota. I will be there July 26 and stay a week. Will the town have recovered from the festivities? After leaving the hallowed halls of YHS, I attended Creighton for a year and continued on to USD. I bounced back down to Creighton for dental school, receiving my DDS in 79. I spent 5 years active in the navy, stayed reserve, retired with the rank of captain. I spent 10 years married. In my 40's I realized I had forgotten to have children so I adopted two of the best kids in the whole world, Marian, almost 16, and Ellen, 12. I'm an unwed mother and don't know who fathered my children. I have my own dental practice in Yucaipa, CA. If you are in Yankton the 26th to the 2nd, you can reach me at my mom's.

Hello all,
After graduation I went to SDSU and graduated with a nursing degree. I worked in Sioux Falls and met my husband Dave at McKennan hospital. In 1979 we were married and moved to Oregon in 1981. The following year our first daughter, Katie, was born and in 1985, Kristen arrived. I still work part time. Right now I am enjoying our first grandchild, Lauren, born May 3rd this year. I love being a grandma!
I see the list of all of classmates that have passed and feel blessed!
Thanks to all who have worked on the reunion! Unfortunately this is just not the year I can come for many reasons. Hope you have fun, I am sure you will! If you are visiting Oregon, please give me a call.
